Y.M.C.A. HAS MADE GREAT ADVANCES.
The annual meeting of the Christchurch Y.M.C.A. was held last evening. Mr A. R. Jordan presided. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, said that the year had been marked by great advances both in the spiritual and the physical life of the boys. The association had done a good deal of work in the military camps and this was much appreciated. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Directors, Messrs F. 11. Sandall, D. E. Parton, and J. T. Royds; auditor, Mr A: A. Bruce. In view of the rapid increase in membership it was decided that the filling of the cabinet vacancies for 1928 should be left in the hands of the remaining members of the cabinet, subject to the approval of the board. It was also decided that for the better working of the system that the election should be held in the first week of March each year. Votes of thanks were passed to ail helpers of the association.
