PRAYER BOOK TO BE PROCEEDED WITH.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received May 17, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 16. The Ecclesiastical Committee representing the House of Lords and the House of Commons, by 20 votes to 3, decided that the Prayer Book did not prejudicially affect constitutional rights, and therefore should be proceeded with. The committee’s report must now be considered by the Legislative Committee of the Church Assembly before the measure can be presented to Parliament, which is unlikely before the end of June.—Australian Press AssociationUnited Service.
