IS MAKING GREAT MISTAKE, DECLARES “ DAILY EXPRESS.”
(United Press Assn.-r-By Electric T el egraph.—Copy r i gh t.) April 2, 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, May 1. The news from America that Colonel Lindbergh will engage in another Atlantic flight via Greenland and Iceland prompts the “ Dailv Express ” editorially to tell him that he is making a great mistake. . “ is planning an anti-climax as elaborate, and at the same time as unnecessary and inartistic, as any recorded in history. There are two essentials to perfect achievement in any and every walk in life: one is the art of elimination and the other is the art of avoiding repetition. Imagine Iloralius defending the bridge not once in his lifetime but two or three times a month. These things once done are done for ever as far as the original author is concerned. Lindbergh’s heroic flight belongs to the honoured category.”—Australian Press Association.
