Auckland. Miss Law, L.R.A.M.). Advanced Grade—Gold medal. Franeea S. Mac Clean. (Pianoforte. Carter'—** The Convent). Silver medal. Joyce Downing. (Pianoforte. Wellington. Mrs E. Mackay). Intermediate Grade—Gold medals: Marjorie Alexander. (Pianoforte. Christchurch. Mias L. Kennard, L.A.8.). Mary E. Martin. (Violin. Greymouth. Convent) equal. In the final and intermediate grades, no candidate qualified to receive ailver medals. Licentiate Examinations—(Two £25 Prizes) —North Island: Jeannette Briggs, (Wellington. Madam Briggs). South Island: Belle D. Renaut. (Christchurch. Miss M. Woodhouse. L.R.A.M). Local Exhibitions—(£ls and £lO each)— Advanced .Grade: Klspeth J. Clarkson. (Pianoforte. Auckland. Mr Eric Waters. L.A.8.). Intermediate Grade; Louise W. Tonkin. (Pianoforte. Oamaru. Miss K. Cartwright). The board offers three exhibitions 1e» candidates showing musical promise, entitling them to not less than two years’ free tuition at the Royal Academy or the Royal College, in London.
