CAR OWNER ORDERED TO PAY DAMAGES.
' (Special to the “Star.”) GREYMOUTH, April 26. A claim for damages by Hector MacNiell, of Westport, against .Gfeo., Franklin Shallcrass, of Greymouth, as the result of collision between plaintiff’s motor lorry and defendant’s car near on December 15 last succeeded at the Magistrate’s Court, when Mr W. Meldrum, S.M., decided that Shallcrass was travelling too fast, his car not being under control, and that he did not decrease his speed when approaching the lorry. Damages awarded totalled £BS 3s 5d and costs £l4 Is.
