STANISH—WALL. On Easter Monday a wedding was solemnised by the Rev Dr Kennedy, in the Roman • Catholic Cathedral, Barbadoes Street, the bride being Miss Mary Wall, and the bridegroom Mr Jack Stanish. The bride wore a dress of white crepe de chine, with veil to tone, and was given away by her uncle, Mr Martin Ilartigan. She was attended by Miss Anne Kirwan as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of p«?e blue crepe de chine, and carried a bouquet of tangerine flowers. Mr Jack Hartigan carried out the duties of best man, and Miss K. O’Connor, officiating at the organ, rendered appropriate music. After the ceremony the party adjourned to the Catholic Girls’ Hostel, Cashel Street, where a dainty breakfast was served by the Hostel Committee. The usual toasts were honoured and best wishes accorded the bride and bridegroom. The happy couple left by the express for Dunedin, where they are spending their honeymoon, and on their return to Ckiisfcchurch intend to reside at Papanui. MORRIS—BRAY. The marriage of Enid Alicia, j'oungest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. J. Bray, to Aubrey Stewart, youngest son of Mr and Mrs T. Morris, was a ceremony of interest to many people, as both families are resident in Christchurch. It was celebrated at the Durham Street Methodist Church by the Rev O. S. Pearn. The bride wore a model frock of ivory taffetas finished with an inset panel of georgette and with wide folds of white net, and rucked ribbon in an uncommon design to correspond with the transparent hem. The skirt was lightly shirred at the low waist, and was finished with a bow and sash, ends reaching the hem. A posy of orange blossom was worn on the shoulder. The beautiful veil, her mother’s possession, was arranged mob cap fashion with a wreath of orange blossom, and tiny buds at the back of the head. She carried a shower bouquet of autumn crocuses mingled with white and cream roses. She was given away by her father. As chief maid, her sister, Miss Ngaire Bray, wore a dainty model frock of pale' mauve georgette, the skirt, with J uneven hem, being finely knife-pleated,
and the over-flare falling longer at each side. A posy, of hand-made flowers, with streamers falling from the shoulder, and touching the low waist, gave a dainty finish. Miss Mabel Woodgate’s charming frock was fashioned of pale apricot georgette, was made on .straight lines, and finished with handkerchief flares, and tiny, posies to tone. Both maids wore shaded leaves and flowers in their hair. Their bouquets were of hothouse flowers. Tittle Marie Mitchell, cousin of the bride, was a dainty flowergirl in her frock of powder blue crepe de chine finished with ruche dribbon and hand-made* flowers. Her bandeau was of rainbow-shaded georgette and flowers. She carried a posy of pastelshaded flowers. Mr Basil Morris attended his brother as best man, and Mr Frank Ledgard was groomsman.Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Hastings Street Hall. Mrs Bray, the bride’s mother, as hostess, wore a model frock of navy charmelaine relieved with a vest of beige and stitching to tone. Her hat, of soft felt, sharply upturned in front, was finished with a diamente-studded ornament. Her bouquet was of scarlet begonias and autumn leaves. Mrs Morris, mother of the bridegroom, wore a smart frock of black crepe de chine and a hat to match, and carried a bouquet of shaded asters. The bride’s trvelling frock was of delphinium shaded satin, and her closefitting hat was of shaded ribbon and flowers.
