BRUCE ACCEPTS KYLSANT’S TENDER.
COMMONWEALTH LINE SOLD TO ENGLISH SHIPPING MAGNATE. (United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copy righ t. ) (Received April 18. 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, April 17. Mr Bruce has cabled accepting Lord Kylsant’s tender to take over the ships of the Commonwealth Line as they arrive, beginning with the Largs Bay on April 25.—Australian Press Association. Mr Bruce states that his Government is not perturbed by the threat of seamen, or marine transport group to boycott the Commonwealth vessels when sold. He adds that the new owners would be obliged to undertake and maintain equivalent services to that provided by the Commonwealth Line.—Australian Press Association.
