An inquest was held to-day conserning the death of Thomas Kelly, single, aged 23, who, while working >n an electric light pole, collapsed tnd fell across the cross-arm. William H. Butcher, foreman for the Waimairi County Council, said that Kelly was a thoroughly competent man. Witness climbed the ladder and took the weight off Kelly, making sure that there was no langer of shock.
