A suggestion that Auckland should follow the. lead of Christchurch in forming an association of mayors and former mayors, was made to Mr George Baildon, Mayor of Auckland, yesterday by Mr J. R. Brunt, now visiting Auckland for the annual conference of the Justices of the Peace Association. Mr Brunt mentioned that the new association would give a party during the coming Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Christchurch.
