VILLA FOOTBALL CLUB HAS BREEZE OVER ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
The annual meeting of the Villa Association Football Club was held last night, Mr B. O. Priddis being in the The annual report stated that the club had had a good year, despite the fact that the season did not open very favourably. The club had won the' English Cup, which reflected great credit on the way the team turned out to practice and their generdf fitThe report was adopted. VACATED THE CHAIR. A dissension arose with the election of officers. When Mr T. Berry was nominated for the post of treasurer, Mr J. Watt objected on the ground that Mr Berry was not a member of the club, having resigned. The chairman stated that the matter could be dealt with by electing Mr Berry an honorary member. Mr Watt: I object. The business before the meeting is the election of officers. The chairman: I will resign if I am ruled out of order when I taki advantage of a privilege which is extended to other members in clubs. Mr Priddis then vacated the chal/, and Mr W. Morley was ele«. ted <x> fill his place. The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Mr R. E. M’Dougall: president, Mr T. Goodchild; honorary secretarv, Mr J. Watt; treasurer, Mr A. Walker: delegates to the Canterbury Football Association, Messrs B. O. Priddis and J. Streeter, jun.: Management Committee, Messrs W. Morley, P. Howarth, J. Cairns, J. Storey and J. Streeter, jun.; three new vice-presi-dents, Messrs C. I. Chidgey, C. S. Keech and B. O. Priddis.
