A message from Cobourg states that General Sir Arthur Currie, Commander of tihe Canadian Corps, will be the plaintiff in a suit shortly for 60,000 dollars damages for alleged libel against W. T. R. Preston and the publisher of the “ Port Hope Guide.” The claim arises from an article by Mr Preston dealing with the attack on Moms just before the Armistice, which he claimed to be an unjustifiable sacrifice of human life.—Aust. and N.Z.
