RETURNED SOLDIERS HONOUR DEAD CHIEF.

MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN CATHEDRAL TO-MORROW A united memorial service will be held in the Cathedral to-morrow, at 3 p.m., in connection with the death of Earl Haig. The Returned Soldiers’ Association, who have organised the service with the permission of the Cathedral authorities, extend an invitation to the general public to attend in addition to the members of their association. The following is the order of service:— Hymn, “O God, - our Help in Ages Past.” Psalm xxiii. (Prayer Book version). First lesson. Revelation xxi., v. 1 to 7, Rev C. A. Fraer. Hymn, “ Jerusalem the Golden.” Second lesson, St John xiv.. 1 to 12 read by his Excellency the GovernorGeneral. Anthem. Prayer. Address, Rev N. L. D. Webster. Ilvmn, “ Onward, Christian Soldiers.” Lament by the Christchurch Scottish Society’s Band. Anthem by Cathedral choir accompanied by Dr Bradshaw at organ. Funeral march. Dr Bradshaw’. A collection will be taken up on behalf of the Distressed and Disabled Soldiers’ Fund. * Members of the congregation are requested to stay in their places until his Excellency the Governor-General has left. Members of the Veterans’ Assoeia tion are asked to assemble at the Veterans’ Hall, 274, Oxford Terrace at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. From there they will march to the Cathedral to take' part in the service to the late Earl Haig
