OBITUARY.

MRS S. L. P. FREE. The death has occurred at Masterton of Mrs Free, wife of Mr S. L. P. Free, S.M., of Masterton, after a period of ill-health. The late Mrs Free, who was sixtv-one years of age, was the daughter of Mr J. yVylde, one of the early settlers of the West Coast of the South Island. She took an active interest in the Kuripuni Anglican Church, and was a strong supporter of the Beautifying and Horticultural Societies of the town. In addition to her husband, she leaves a faxntty of four—Captain C. W. Free (of the Guides Cavalry, Indian Army), Mrs L. T. Daniell (Wairere), Mr W. L. Free (Masterton) and Mr A. W. Free (Wellington).
