A DRAMA OF THE LAWLESS WEST AT CRYSTAL PALACE.
This week is a week of Western feature films at the. Crystal Palace* and jtwo really high-class romances of that lawless and colourful land that is known as "the West” are being shown. Pride of ph.ee has been given on the bill to "The Devil’s Saddle,” a film in which Ken Maynard takes the leading role:. The story is a swiftly moving account of- the stirring happenings when men had to be virile and daring if they were to hold their own in the world, and the incidents have been linked together with splendid artistry. " The Last Outlaw,” the chief supporting picture, presents a steady stream- of thrilling incidents that find their culmination in the defeat by the hero of the machinations of a number of officials who have abused their office and who had. used their official positions merely as a cloak for cattle stealing on a large scale. The Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Mr A. J. Bun/, contributes an appropriate musical - programme.
