GISBORNE, December 8. Israel Gelhor, with breaches of the Bankruptcy Act, by contracting debts amounting to £129 with five Gigborne firms, without reasonable expectation of ability to pay, and with failing to keep proper books and accounts, pleaded guilty. The Crown Prosecutor stated that accused had been four times previously bankrupt. The Magistrate: And these firms give him credit! Nearly every firm in Gisborne seems to be on the list. Accused was remanded till to-morrow for sentence.
