Per Press Association. ASHBURTON. June 24. At the Police Court Timothy Kissane was charged, as the outcome of a police raid on June 3, that, being the occupier of certain premises, he did knowingly and wilfully permit Basil Muller to use the said premises as a common gaming house. He pleaded guilty and was fined £25, half to be paid in a fortnight. and the remainder in a month. Muller was fined £SO at a previous sitting for assisting in the conduct of the house.
