Here is an official description of American films given at the conference of the Cinematograph Exhibitors of Great Britain: — “ Yankee Mixture. “To be forced upon the patient thrice : One pound of sob stuff, one pound thrills, two pounds of legs (bare if possible), a half-pound of night club, three pounds of Star at one million dollars per pound, one pound of humour, three pounds of settings, one ounce of story.”
