RAILWAY OFFICERS HOLD CONFERENCE.

Ter Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 23. The annual conference of railway officers concluded yesterday. The following officers were elected: President, Mr Stanley (Wellington); vice-presi-dents, Messrs Skinner, Carroll, M’Alvon and Barnes; executive committee, Messrs Findlayson. Goodley, Macdonald, Croudie, Hardie, Henderson and Bisch; general treasurer, Mr Barclay; auditors, Messrs Alington and Pohlen. The new building scheme was fully discussed and the conference authorised the committee to proceed with the proposal subject to satisfactor}r financial arrangements being made. During the conference the railway board was met and a number of general matters affecting the service were discussed.
