CANTERBURY WOMEN’S CLUB.

Glowing fires and vivid floral decorations made the reception-room at the Canterbury Women’s Club last evening a most attractive place, when a bridge evening was held. The hostesses for the evening were Mrs J. Grcig, Mrs Corbett and Mrs Manhire. Many enjoyable games were play'ed, and a daintysupper was served to the many present. Mrs Greig wore a handsome black lace gown, mounted on black satin, with a scarlet flower motif defining the waist line. Mrs Corbett’s frock • was of black georgette, with a cream J lace inset vest, and trimmings of jet in narrow panels. The players included: { —Mrs A. M’Killop, Mrs F.
