A Ueparlmcn tal inquiry into ths cause of the derailment of wagons attached to a goods train near Port Chalmers on Saturday afternoon, opened yesterday before Messrs H. P. West (District Traffic Manager), C. M. Benzoni (District Engineer) and A. L. Piper (Assistant Locomotive Engineer, Christchurch).
