By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. HELSINGFORS, June 14. Cabinet has sent a protest to Moscow against the execution of Captain Elvengren, and demanding an explanation.

On June 10 it was cabled from London that the Soviet Government had passed sentences of death on twenty persons who were accused of various acts on behalf of Monarchist and White-Guardist elements. Among them was Captain Elvengren, an ex-cavalry officer, cne of those who, with Captain Riley, of the British Intelligence Service, participated in the organisation of an attempt on the Soviet Delegation at the Genoa Conference, headed by M. Chicherin, when the delegation passed through Berlin.
