By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. SYDNEY, June 14. Representatives of the big picture film distributors applied to the Acting Chief Justice in the High Court Chambers for an injunction restraining the State Government from levying and collecting a tax on the exhibition of picture films. A declaration was also sought that the Act under which the tax was collected was invalid. The matter was allowed to stand over until to-morrow to enable counsel for the Government to confer with the Attorney-General.
