A revolutionarv design in rail wav engines, regarded as of international importance, has been completed at Dusseldorf m co-operation with Krupps It is a Diesel oil-driven twelve-hun-dred horse-power locomotive, requiring no water and is intended for use in Russia and other countries where vast tracts do not facilitate a water supplv Representatives of British, Russian Japanese, Norwegian and Canadian railways were present at the official testa, when a locomotive pulled a load of 1350 tons up a steep grade with ease. It requires one-fifth less fuel than an ordinary type of engine of equal power.
