PERSONAL.
- MINISTERIAL. The Hon G. J. Anderson, Minister of Labour and Mines, was a passenger for Wellington last night. The Rev Father Morkane is the guest of his brother, Dr C. F. Mbrkane, Cashmere Hills. Sir William Hall-Jones arrived from the north yesterday and is staying at Warner’s Hotel. Messrs R. S. Phillips and 11. Ralph have returned to Wellington after spending three weeks* holiday at Kaiapoi and Kowhai Bush. Mr C. L. Gillies, B. Ag., formerly of the staff of the Tirnaru Boys’ High School, has left for Australia to take over the position of chief agricultural instructor for Tasmania. Messrs J. C. Young (Palmerston North), J- E. Histed (Palmerston North), C. F. Brown (Wellington), and W. P. Sanders (Wellington) are among the guests at the Clarendon Hotel. Messrs W. Ilirsch (Chicago), A. C. 800 card (Sydney), J. Cleave (Auckland), R. Arlow (Wellington), H. Le Gay Holtbouse (Wellington), R. H. Galbraith (Bradford), S. G. Norton (Wellington), and C. Irons (Wellington) are staying at Warner's Hotel. Mr R. A. Kenner, general secretary of the Y.M.C.A., Christchurch, has returned to duty after having spent a holiday in the coimtry.
