Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, January 15. The Hawke Cup match was resumed in fine weather. Bottrill and H. Brown batted to Mitchell and M. Beuth’s bowling. With nine runs added, Bottrill played a ball from Beuth on to his wicket. Eggleton was the last man. Brown brought up the century, but nine runs later he was bowled by Mitchell. G. and M. Beuth commenced Hawke’s Bay’s second innings, but the latter soon went leg before to Cole, after scoring one. At noon the score was 23 for one wicket. At the luncheon adjournment Hawke’s Bay had lost four wickets for 60 runs. HAWKE’S BAY. Second Innings. M. Beuth, lbw b Cole 1 C.
