DEATH CLAIMS WANGANUI CITY ASTRONOMER.

Per Press Association. WANGANUI, January 4. Advice has been received in Wanganui of the death at Wairoa to-night of Mr J. T. Ward, who Avas in business here for Aery- many years as a bookseller, retiring a few months ago. Deceased was a well-known astronomer and at the time of his death ivas in charge of the city’s observatory.
