TROUBLE ON THE STOCK EXCHANGE.
BY SIN BAD. The Stock Exchange folk are quite woolly in London it’s stated this week, because of a fellow called Pulley who rashly has started to squeak. At things which have now come to pass he feels called on his raiment to tear. “ You care more,” he says, “ for the brassie than dealing in stock and in share. I give you the fairest of warning, you’re bound to be broke in two winks, why don’t you work Saturday morning instead of infesting the links?” At this all the stockbrokers cackle, most angrily taking the shock. Say they : “ When he seeks us to tackle, this Pulley is doing his block. It may be a personal question, but he our spare time has despoiled, and we would now make the suggestion that Pulley is certainly oi’ed.” Thus trouble on ’Change now is brewing, for fiercely each bear and each bull their greyheaded critic are booing; to Pulley they say: “Take a pull.” Respect for old age is devolving on junior folk, let us hope. When Pulley thus started revolving, he might have been given some rope.
