SHEARING DISPUTE OVER WHETHER SHEEP WERE WET OR DRY.

Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, November 23. A position of interest to woolgrowers throughout New Zealand has arisen in a large woolshed in the Wairau Valley. Owing to wet weather the sheep were considered by several shearers to be wet. The owner and woolclasser a/id several of the shearers considered the sheep dry enough for shearing. Com plaint has been lodged with the Shearers Union, the men having been discharged, and it has been stated through the official organ of that union, the “ New Zealand Worker, ” fhat the matter has been taken up and litigation will follow. The outcome is looked forward to with interest.
