A woman believed to be the mother of the infant left on the steps of the Salvation Army Home at Christchurch on November 16 was arrested at Canvastown yesterday by Senior-Sergeant Clarkson, and appeared at the Police Court in Blenheim this morning. On the application of the police she was remanded to appear at Christchurch on Thursda3'. An order was made for the suppression of her name in the meantime.
