WAIAU-UA BRIDGE OPEN TO LIGHT TRAFFIC

The combined railway and traffic bridge over the Waiau-ua at Parnassus is now open to light motor traffic, but no heavy vehicles will be allowed to use it for some days yet. Rail way men will be on dutv at the bridge for the purpose of directing vehicles across The Rail wav Department will continue to run the trams to each side of the bridge for another two or three days, passengers being required to transfer from one train to the other.
