SOME RIGHT-OF-WAYS ARE BADLY NEEDING REPAIRS.

At a recent meeting of the City Council, a complaint was made that many of the jrigbt-of-ways in the city were in a bad condition. Councillor C. P. Agar, chairman of the By-laws Committee, promised that a report would be prepared. This report was presented at last night’s meeting of the council. A good many of the right-of-ways were stated to be in good order, but others were said to be badly in need of repairs. In certain cases notices for repairs to be carried out had been served. In reply to Councillor Andrews, Councillor C. P. Agar, chairman of the By-laws Committee, said that the committee was taking every possible step to see that the conditions under which the right-of-ways were granted were carried out. The committee had the right to insist on repairs being effected where deemed necessary, and this was being done.
