BUMPER BAR WAS OBSCURING NUMBER.

“This is the first time that a case of this kind has come before the Court,” said Senior-Sergeant Martin this morning when a defendant was charged at the Magistrate’s Court with having driven a motor-car with the number plate obscured. The Senior-Sergeant explained that defendant had a bumper bar on his car obscuring the front number plate. This made it difficult for anyone who wished to take the number to see it. Defendant was ordered to pay costs.
