DOUBTS EXIST STILL WHETHER MAORIS WILL GO.
The tour of the Maori Rugby- team has not yet been definitely arranged. The New Zealand Union has decided that if the tour to France and England is abandoned the Maoris will make a tour of New Zealand with the possibility- of a trip to Sydney and Melbourne -to follow. Tf the tour abroad is abandoned the Maoris are to play- Canterbury- at Lancaster Park on Saturday, but up to 2.30 p.m. to-day no definite word had been received from the New Zealand Union. This morning the CanterburyUnion received a telegram from the New Zealand Union stating that the lour was still indefinite. A wire was sent asking that definite information be supplied to-day as to whether the match between the Maoris and Can-
terbury is to be played on Saturday. By- 2.30 this afternoon no reply had been received to this wire. The position is an awkward one for both the Canterbury Union and the selectors of the Canterbury team.
