MR D. JONES INQUIRES ABOUT FLOUR MILLS.
(Special to the “ Star. *’) WELLIXGTOX, July 21. A careful non-committal reply . was given Mr D. Jones (Ellesmere), who asked the Minister pf Agriculture whether he will make inquiries from the owners of flour mills who allege they are closing through shortage of wheat, in order to ascertain whether they are closing for this reason, or because they haA-e considerable quantities of flour on hand and prefer to close until this flour is disposed of. The lion O. J. Hawken, Minister of .Agriculture, replied: “The subject has been receiving the consideration of the Government, and further information on the matters referred to will be sought.” ♦
