UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF FUND IS GROWING.
Sixteen New Registratic Sixteen new registrations and twentyeight renewals were received at the Government Labour Bureau this morning. Of the men registering for the first time eight are single and eight are married men with a total of seventeen dependents. The occupations of the /men are:—Two carpenters, one butcher, one baker, one painter, one driver, one motor mechanic, and nine labourers. One of the married men arrived in New Zealand from Canada only a fortnight ago. This morning the Department engaged two men for private employment. Harbour Board Vote. • The Lyttelton Harbour Board to-day voted £75 for work for the unemployed, i’so to go to the central committee and £25 to. Lyttelton. The. total subscriptions to date to the Unemployment Relief Fund are £717
