FURTHER MATCHES. Two more trial matches have yet to fee plaved before the final selection of a New'Zealand League football team to tour Britain is made. On Wednesday Auckland will play a team representing Southern Leagues, and on Saturday an A and B trial match will be played. In the last-mentioned match thirteen players whose positions in the touring side are assured will not be included in either team. _ _ _ _ , The southern team for Wednesdays match is as follows: Full-back—Eckhoff (Otago). Three-quarters—Sanders (Canterbury), Desmond (Wellington), Hickey (Otago). Five-eighths—Vorrath (Otago), Vivian (Canterbury). Half—Wilson.-Hall (Canterbury). Forwards—Menzies (Waikato), TabJentire (West Coast), Carroll (Wellington), Devine (Tlmaru), Thomas (Otago), Mouatt (West Coast).
In the selection of the southern team it has been arranged to give Gieson, of Waikato, another chance, and he will replace Tallentlre as hooker In the second spell. The South Island forwards, Wright, Petersen and Henry, leave Auckland tonight. Mason remains to play next BaturdH}.
