The Buller Rugby Union has waived its right to a Sneddon Shield match with Marlborough before Oolden Bay, and baa agreed to allow Golden Bay to ti y to get the trophy from Marlborough. Should thev surreed in their quest, Bulier will make the trip early m September If Marlborough retain the Shield, the Buller Union has issued a challenge for September 4. Half-way through the second spell the visitors led by 9 to 8, but a sensational run by Kivel resulted in a try bv Walter, which gave Taranaki the lead.
