All yachting enthusiasts would, welcome any . conditions that ' tvdukl smooth the bar by giving deeper water' over it. A proposal for this is being considered. It provides for the dumping of the rock blasted from the hill at the Shag Rock Corner in the channels between the rocks of the reef running to Shag Rock. In "these the water at low tide is up to sixteen feet in depth. If this were done the rip between the big rock and the sand, spit would ebb and flow at a much increased rate.
