HALMA, THE JUGGLER, HAS UNUSUAL TURN TO OFFER AT FULLER’S.

A brilliant list of star artists is promised for Alonday night at Fuller’s Opera House when a host of new artists are due to appear, including a number of over-seas importations. Heading the list is Hatma, an English juggler, who has something so much out of the ordinary to offer that he is sure to become exceptionally popular. A recent arrival from New York is Blondi Robinson, a comedian who is said to be very amusing, and who is, at the same time, a brilliant acrobat and dancer. Recently* arrived from Cape Town are Keith and Joan Dingley*, who will be seen in a series of novel and original dances. A welcome return visit is one from Campbell and Wise, billed as “The Jollity Act of Quality” .is some new and amusing patter, song and dance. Joe Brennan and Ida Newton will present another of their clever and versatile offerings, while new items are to be given by the Rev Frank Gorman, the Singing Parson, the Carthy Bros., comedians and dancers, Harry North, the concertina swaggie, and Lesley* Elliot, the Girl at the Piano. The box plan is on view at the Bristol.

ROYAL MUSICAL SOCIETY.

The first concert by the. Royal Christchurch Musical Society* for the. season takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday next, in the Choral Hall, when the concert adaptation of the favourite opera “Maritana,” by Vincent Wallace, will.be given. The artists engaged are Madame Gower Burns, who takes the part of Maritana, Aliss Dutcie Aritchell,. contralto, that of Lazarillo; Mr Arnold Perry, of Dunedin, tenor, Don Caesar de Kazan; Mr Chas. Clarkson, the wellknown baritone,' Don Jose, and the King of Spain; and Mr P. Angus, the parts of the Alcade and Captain. A full chorus and orchestra under the baton of Air Sidney Williamson. D.R.G.M.L.. will perforin the opera, which should be a decided success.

HARBOUR LIGHT THEATRE.

“Chechahcos,” a drama of the Frozen North, actually filmed in Alaska, with an all-star cast, is the chief attraction at the Harbour Light Theatre, Lyttelton, on Tuesday next. An Our Gang comedy, and the final episode of “Wolves of .the North” will also be screened. On Wednesday* there wilt be no pictures, the theatre having been leased for a Scottish and- variety* concert in aid of the Ly*ttelton Boy Scouts. On Thursday and Friday “Those Who Judge,” featuring Patsy Ruth Aliller, will be shown. A special week-end attraction on Saturday will be the screening of Colleen Moore in “We AI oder ns.” In a special prologue to “We Aloderns,” little Joan Hughes will sing and dance “The Charleston” in character.
