“GIVE AND TAKE ” STILL RUNNING AT ROYAL.
The establishment of an industrial democracy in a fruit-canning business is the cause of the comedy in Aaron Hoffman's excellent play. “Give and Take,” which is running at the Theatre Royal Jack Bauer, son of the owner of a big business, decides that business is best served by a combination between capital and labour. The industrial democracy* is established, the workerd threatening to go on strike unless their affairs are governed in the same manner as the United States Congress. A strike mttrt
be ' averted and Bauer, sen., capitulates. Mr Harry Green, a fine character actor, gives an excellent study* of Bauer, sen., while Air Hal Percy is satisfactory as Bauer, jun. Air Edward de Tisne, as Kruger, the Lincoln of the industrial situation, does convincing work. Miss Vera Spaull, the only lady in the cast, shows that she is capable of refined acting. “Give arid Take” will be presented : again to-night.
