Per Press Association. NELSON. June 5. The President of the Methodist Conference (the Rev P. Knight), has telegraphed to the Prime Minister to-day expressing profound appreciation of Mr Coates’ outspoken utterance coneerning art unions as a means of raising money for public purposes and trusting that the law will be tightened tip to prevent “farther spread of these obnoxious and unbritish methods.”
