Sensational charges of fraud are made in a recount petition filed in the Superior Court, Chicago, by the defeated ‘ candidate for the Republican primary re-nomination for Judge, The petition alleges that a notorious | gangster, who is sought as the machinegun slayer of one of the State’s Attor-, ney assistants, worked hand in hand with the State’s Attorney at the primary election. It depicts election day as a riot of fierce and frenzied gunmen that would have disgraced the Wild 4 West’s blood-thirsty days and acserts that the gangsters instituted a, reign of terror at the polls kidnapping the election judges, intimidating clerks, forcing voters to mark ballot papers at the point of guns and compelling bystanders to count the ballot papers, It. alleges that checkers reported direct to the gangster chief, murdered the assistant attorney, and induced the police to disregard voters’ complaints.
