TOTALISATOR TO BE TRIED IN IRELAND.

Mr Blythe, the Irish Free State Minister of Finance, in introducing the Finance Bill stated, in connection with the betting tax, that the Government proposed to introduce the totalisator or parimutuel system as an experiment. It would be tried out on a number of selected racecourses.
