CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. The playing: of the second round of the captain's trophy, scheduled tio have been played at Shirley on Saturday, was postponed on account of the wet' condition of the course. The time fbr this round has, therefore, been extended, and players are given up till (and including) (Saturday. June J in which to- decide their matches. During the past week two further matches in the first round were played:—R. J. Hobbs (12) beat B. E. H. Whitcombe (18), 6 up and' 4, and G. G. Aitken (S) beat L. J. Taylor (7), The draw and starting times tor the War .Memorial Cup, and the two qualifying rounds for the Campbell Cup, to be played on the King’s Birthday (Thursday.
