Hospital Board—Henry H. Holland (elected unopposed). WESTLAND. (Special to the “Star.”) „ HOKITIKA, May 3. P or the county elections Messrs J. A. Murdoch and B. Ward have been returned unopposed for the Northern Riding and Messrs W. H. Chinn, .J. Donovan, W\ Jeffries and W. Searle have been returned unopposed for the Southern Riding. For the Central Riding there are six candidates for the three seats, namely: Messrs H. A. Baucke, H. A. Boddlngton, T. R., Chesterman, M. Keenan, H. L. Morel and E. A. Wills. For the positions of county representatives on the Hokitika Harbour Board Messrs W. H. Houston and C. J. Nightingale were returned unopposed. For the Westland Power Board Messrs T. W. Bruce, W. J. Butler, T. R. Chesterman, H. L. Morel, J. A. Murdoch, R. F. Penham, B. Ward, E. A. Wells and Robert Whiley were returned unopposed. For the six seats on the Westland Hospital Board Messrs G. Davidson. W. Jeffries, Robert Meharry, H. L. Morel and E. A. Wells were elected. The sixth seat is to be filled by the Westland County Council. Mr T. W. Duff, who has been a member of the Westland County Council for twenty-four years, did not seek re-election, and .also retired froni the Hospital and Power Boards.
