CITY BRIGADE MAKES GOOD SAVE.

FIRE IN WORKSHOP QUICKLY QUELLED

Fire shortly before 2 o’clock this afternoon caused trifling damage to the premises of Messrs Cooper and Pryce, motor body builders, Victoria Street. Sparks from a grate in the workshop are believed to have been responsible for the outbreak which soon had a good hold amongst the rafters of the structure. Prompt work by the brigade, however, prevented the spread of the flames and a good save was effected, the damage being confined to charred rafters and smoked walls.
