ST LEONARD'S PARK.

The Mayor of Sumner (Mr W. H. Nicholson) with the Mayoress, opened the new ground at St Leonard’s Park this afternoon. There was a large attendance. Mrs Nicholson was presented With a gold key of the new entrance gate. The ceremony was followed by a football match between Rugby teams representing Sumner and Kaiapoi, the visitteam winning by 20 points to nil.
