WHY NOT CELEBRATE THE BETTY'S TRIUMPH?

A welcome to the crew on their return on Monday would at least show Mr Andrews, skipper, who won the first Sanders Cup series he had sailed in, and the members of his crew, that they have honour in their own city. When Otago won the first series \yith Heather the crew was welcomed by the whole population, as it seemed, and the men with the boat passed in triumph from the railway station to the centre of the city through a lane of cheering thousands.
