WEDDINGS.

LESLIE—GRIMWOOD. A wedding took place in the Irwell Methodist Church on Wednesday, when William, only son of Mr and Mrs Leslie of Ellesmere, was married to Gladys Dorothy, youngest, daughter of Mr and Mrs Grim wood, of Irwell. The church was tastefully decorated by the friends of the bride in colours to tone with the frocks of bride and bridesmaid. The Rev A. O. Harris was the officiating minister and Miss Nellie Doak presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a pretty frock of ivory embossed' marocain with radium lace, giving an apron effect. The waist line was defined with satin ribbon which fell in streamers to the hem of her skirt. The usual veil and orange blossom were worn. She carried a bouquet of pink, and ■white roses, carnations and maiden hair fern. Miss Violet Leslie, only sister of the bridegroom. attended as bridesmaid. She was attired in a dainty frock of mauve and silver art marocain wth side panels of radium lace. She wore a mauve veil arranged with silver leaves, and carried a bouquet of begonias and carnations to tone with her frock. Mr Robert Elford attended the bridegroom as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Doyleston ITall. The bride's mother, who received the guests, wore a smart frock of navy gabardine with trimmings of silver, and a black hat with osprey mount and she carried a bouquet of red roses and gvpsophila. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a smart costume of navy repp and black hat with osprey mount. Later the newly-married couple, left by motor, for Christchurch, amid showers of confetti and with good wishes, the bride travelling in a fawn coat frock with trimmings of blue marocain and fawn hat and shoes to match.
