SWIMMERS COMPETE FOR SANDSTON CUP.
The SSandston Cup was swum for by members of the East Christchurch Amateur Swimming Clut> during the week-end. The race resulted: Miss D. Brown 1, A. Stokes 2, W. Black Also started: P. Foster, L. Anderson, T. Jackson, 1.. Whittington and T,. Clarkson. The finish was very close, inches separating: first, and second, with tlie third swimmer a yard away.
